vi riporto una lettera di invito ad un torneo di calcio a 11 maschile e calcio a 7 femminile che mi è stata mandata dal mio vecchio presidente Olandese. Si tratta di tornei per studenti universitari però mi è stato detto che alla fine l'età non conta poi molto. I campi sono tutti in erba vera e il centro sportivo è tipo Trigoria!!! ....capisco che è una proposta piuttosto difficile da realizzare però io la inoltro ugualmente....sarebbe la prima trasferta oltre i confini nazionali!!!

Dear football friends,
After last year’s celebration of B.A.R.T.’s second lustrum with a spectacular tournament, we, the student soccer association DBSV Red Socks from Maastricht, will organise the infamous international student football tournament ‘B.A.R.T.’ for the eleventh time and it’s going to be an enormous event! The B.A.R.T. has a long history and already is a big notion within the student soccer body of Maastricht! Once again there will be a new, inspired and motivated committee to organise this not-to-be-missed tournament! We, from DBSV Red Socks, are going to make sure that the B.A.R.T.-Tournament will be an unforgettable event.
The abbreviation B.A.R.T. stands for the ‘Black Stockings And Red Socks Tournament’. The tournament exists since 1996 and is organised by the student football association DBSV Red Socks. The tournament is meant for student football teams, men and women, from Holland and abroad. The B.A.R.T.-Tournament has been a very successful tournament in the past years and has therefore earned its place as an annual event on the international tournament calendar! We expect to welcome many teams! This year’s tournament will take place on the 16 th, 17 th and 18 th of May 2008 in Maastricht. Maastricht is one of the most charming and most beautiful student cities of the Netherlands! There are great clubs to go to at night, there is always something to do and it’s the hometown of one of the most prestigious football tournaments within the Dutch students league!
During the tournament there will be a lot to do! During the day there will be football and everybody can try to put down sports achievements! During the night there is time to relax and party! On Friday and Saturday night there will be a big party on our football-ground with a special theme and cheap beer! This is where you can meet your opponent up close and maybe, after a possible defeat on the field, get your revenge in the third half! Cheap drinks and a fantastic atmosphere will guarantee it will be a great succes! There is no better place to combine fun and sports!
The special theme we were talking about ealier is due to the 2nd lustrum of our football association DBSV Red Socks! In 2008 DBSV will be 10 years old and of course there has to be a party for this big occasion! The celebration will be on Saturday night on our terrain, so you don’t have to leave the football grounds! The board members of DBSV Red Socks delibrately decided to celebrate this huge event during the B.A.R.T., to make the party extra big and special!
Now some practical issues. Matches will be played on three fields, 11 against 11 for the men, and 7 against 7 for the women. For the men’s teams there is a maximum of 18 players, for the women this
maximum lies at 13. The matches will be led by official referees, in accordance with the FIFA rules. During the day there will be a tent where food and drinks are available.
Then there is some big news! The beer price dropped to just €1,- and the subscription price dropped to €30,-! This will be the price for an unforgettable adventure with lots of sports and pleasure! In contrast to last year there won’t be one big sleeping tent, but everybody has to bring his own tent, which can be put
up on the terrain! Furthermore we will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Friday! There’s also the possibility of joining us for dinner on Friday night.
With this letter we would like to invite you to join us at this great event! You can register as a team by filling out the enclosed application form! When we recieve your application, we will contact you as soon as possible!
